Dyeing fur

Who first colored the fur? Or a little about the development of fur color.

— Beautiful fur! He exclaimed.

— Kidding me! - said Ellochka gently. - This is a Mexican jerboa.

— It can not be. You have been deceived. You were given a much better fur. These are the Shanghai leopards. Well yes! Leopards! I recognize them by shade. See how the fur plays in the sun! .. Emerald! Emerald! Ellochka herself painted the Mexican jerboa in green watercolor and therefore the praise of the morning visitor was especially pleasant to her. Do you recognize the lines? This is a classic of the genre of Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov’s novel “The Twelve Chairs” written in 1927.

As you can see at the beginning of the 20th century, people of the century had an idea of painting furs. After reading a bit of history, we can assume that the professional dyeing of fur began to emerge after the Frenchman Emile Chapal first painted the fur using aniline dyes. Then he showed his work in America, where he praised his work. As a result, the painting of furs became fashionable and spread to the whole world. Initially, these were attempts to issue more valuable types of fur or to hide minor defects on it. This small piece of history can be called revolutionary in the fur industry, it launched the development of technologies for dyeing fur products, and also contributed to the launch of the creation of new dyes.

At the end of the 20th century, it was safe to say that development was more than successful, but it did not stop, but only gained momentum in many countries. In Ukraine, in the early 90s, unfortunately, it was not about the development, but the preservation of the fur industry for processing natural fur. But what can I say, it was not possible to buy high-quality fat; for dressing the skinned skins they cooked detergents with a spindle. The skins are more often dyed with dyed dyes in a limited range of colors, mainly black, brown, gray. Bright natural dyed furs could be seen only on expensive imported items, for example, a purple fox collar looked fantastic. Many people were skeptical of colored natural fur or mistaken for fake fur. In general, the situation could be described by the phrase “have what we have”, which was famous at that time.

In the early 2000s, there is a revival of the Ukrainian fur industry for the processing of natural raw materials. Eminent German, American companies such as “Basf” and “Lowenstein” come to the Ukrainian market, offering high-quality dyes, detergents, fats and other auxiliary substances for dressing and dyeing. After stagnation, production like a sponge absorbs new technologies, there is a rapid growth rate in development. New specialists are born in factories with fundamentally new approaches to the processing of fur raw materials. The quality of the dressing grows noticeably, but the main thing it becomes possible to dye the fur in bright saturated colors.

In large markets, there is a growing demand for products made from faux duplicated fur trimmed from the multicolored edge of the crawl, and then the fox. And also in the windows of large cities such as Kharkov, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Lviv and others, one can see arctic fox caps made in Ukraine, dazzling with all the colors of the rainbow. Atelier for individual tailoring, too, do not stand aside. Fur processing factories work closely with clothing designers using newer technologies in the dyeing of furs, which allows them to achieve amazing results.

Specialists in processing natural fur master a double, triple dyeing, the snow top effect, popularly called white tips. Make blue coloring, high-quality bleaching. Stencil dyeing or patterning is used to emit leopard, tiger and other exotic animals. It becomes possible to remove pigmentation, this effect is called gilding or discoloration..

Due to its dedication, natural diligence of people and high rates of development, the Ukrainian fur industry soon becomes firmly on its feet. The quality of dressing and fur dyeing catalogs are no longer inferior to European. Designers for sewing outerwear, hats, shoes, bags and other haberdashery are delighted with the proposed range of choice, which gives them unlimited creative potential and allows them to realize their wildest ideas when sewing products using different types of fur. In consequence of that, Ukrainian-made products are gaining popularity in the markets in the neighboring countries.

In 2019, fur dyeing technologies make it possible to implement almost any ideas and continue to evolve. Ordering painting skins you can limit only your imagination. Do not believe? Try to cooperate with the factory “Alyans-fur”
